Program: Girls can create their own products and start a business. This is a fun, creative and educational workshop. Students will each open their own online store in on BIZZYSTREET, our Bizzy Girls marketplace. Girls have the option of keeping their stores private and only sell to people they give their "secret" code to, (friends and family).
The program has a combination of project based lessons, discussion, and workshop time where girls work on their products. Workshop time is a shared creative time, each girl focused on her own product but able to get feedback, share ideas and receive teacher input. There is also fun game time that is connected to social emotional learning. Physical activity such as yoga stretches, teacher-lead dance moves and singing.
Entrepreneur lessons are all activity based and include inspiration boards, product development, logos, signs, selling points, pitches, mini business plans, capital, cost, profit and pricing.
Supplies: Each student choses the product they will make. We have a Pinterest board with over 150 inexpensive and easy products to make. All products should be under $20 for supplies. If a student already has a product or idea, we are happy to help them with it. Students are responsible for having their supplies at home during the class. We start to work on the products after the second class.
Teachers: All of our teachers are experienced in virtual learning and know how to engage and entertain students. Bizzy Girls is an all female environment.
BIZZYSTREET, our marketplace for young entrepreneurs: Parents will have to register their child's store, towards the end of camp. We will give you directions and show students how the store is opened. It is simple and kid friendly. Your daughter should be able to make all updates and manage it herself. We will give you a code to use when you register for the store that will give you two months free. After that it is $5.99 a month. Your daughter will have her own webpage. This covers the hosting, young entrepreneur community activities and bringing traffic to the site.
